Veteran broadcaster Humphrey Lyttelton sadly passed away last week. He was probably best known for hosting the BBC Radio 4 show I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue. To commemorate, over at Nature Network, Bob O’Hara kicked off a game of Cheddar Gorge. Meanwhile, the Information Management Group have been playing (Computer) Scientists Themed Film / Book Club, here is a shortened list of some of the competition entries…

Now we’ve obviously concentrated on Computer Science, but there’s plenty of scope for other science-themed film / book clubs as well. Chemists (Lord of the Benzene Rings), Physicists (Scent of a Hadron), Biologists (Dr Latex Glove: How I learned to stop worrying and love research), any other ideas? Did we miss any obvious Computer Science ones?!
Life just won’t be the same without Humph, pictured above playing his jazz trumpet by oiyou.
