Even miserable Facebook refuseniks (like me) can’t help but go “ooh that’s pretty” while marvelling at the masterful use of the R language to construct this beautiful map…

I’m working “Science on a Sphere” at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. We have your “Facebook Friendships” circa 2011 on the sphere and it’s a big hit with visitors. I’m wanting to do an animation of Facebook friendships over time on the sphere, if possible. Do you suppose this would be feasible? Would you give me your advice on how to proceed?
